Residential Construction Estimator

Job Requirements:


  • Proficient use and knowledge of Xactimate
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and maintain a good relationship with difficult homeowners and adjusters
  • Extensive experience in estimating STRUCTURAL Fire & Water Damage
  • Strong experience with Structural Drying, Smoke Cleaning and Deodorization
  • Knowledge and understanding of the coverage included within the Standard Texas Homeowners Policy
  • Weekly budget analysis and change order reporting
  • Maintaining Restoration Manager client records

Estimator's Responsibilities


  • Ability to set and meet expectations
  • Ability to respond to large loss emergencies on an afterhours on-call rotation including weekends and holidays
  • Accurately forecast costs during the term of the project
  • Creating and developing sales
  • Creating accurate estimates for repairs
  • Contract negotiations with the homeowner and the adjuster
  • File documentation
  • Budget Creation
  • Collection of draws
  • Posting of contract changes and supplements
  • Final billing & collections
  • Overall supervision of each project in partnership with Project Manager

Starting Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. A Bonus Program based upon the profitability of the Estimator's completed projects.

Must be proficient with Xactimate, MS Office, and Restoration Manager. Experience in the industry also a requirement. Job involves field estimating, taking photos, measuring on site, completing estimate, and being in charge of overall project. Must also have sales ability and get along with people.
